YEAH NEVADA UH OH

If you receive a package in the mail without a return address, or the name misspelled or suspicious -and especially if they come from Nevada- don't open them. Call your Postal Service and report a strange package and have them take it away and open it under security procedures.

Someone in Nevada is sending curious packages to people in the gaming scene.

Call a Postal Inspector at: 877-876-2455
Or you can call 911
  • 3 people like this.
  • Charles Kennedy Ziese Any news on what's in them?
  • Zoe Howard Really??? Its come to this?
  • Cat DeSpira I knew that it would.

And what's inside doesn't matter. Besides, you don't want to know.
  • Zoe Howard Seriously. Nothing from that source can be good.
  • Patrick Scott Patterson Thanks for the heads up.
  • Cat DeSpira Just, please, follow my instructions: Call Postal Inspector or 911 and report it. Don't open it. Let them.
  • Darren Borg The gaming community in the USA has taken things a little to far atm
  • Zoe Howard Its not the community darren. Trust me. Overall the community is wonderful. We just have some really bad apples. Lol
  • Patrick Scott Patterson No... only certain people in it, Darren. A vocal and batshit crazy minority. The rest of us are just trying to conduct our business.

  • Mark Kiehl "the community"?! come on now
  • Darren Borg Well whoever is doing this needs to get a new hobby. Games ain't meant to be taken so seriously. This saddens me
  • Zoe Howard Us as well. We all know the power of ego. And that type exudes it.
  • Cat DeSpira Darren, it's not the community. It's leadership. It's always been like this since 2000 with certain individuals who have never had to accept responsibilities for their actions against others. It's just got worse and worse because the behavior is enabled by leaders and persons of influence so, as time goes on, it has become a parasitic personality infestation that is allowed to continue with no disciplinary action taken whatsoever. Me? I believe in taking disciplinary courses of action against such people; i.e. banning, black listing, timed-out periods, loss of coverage, etc. And I do that. Doesn't make me popular with people like this. I don't care.

  • Darren Borg Thats what I love about you Cat
  • Cat DeSpira Thanks. I admire your sense of justice as well.
  • Patrick Scott Patterson A sense of reality would be nice as well. These are video games... and if the info here points where I think we are all thinking it does... old video games. The Nathan's Hot Dog Eating contest gets more press attention in one day each year than this old video game stuff gets in a year. It's supposed to be fun and nostalgic, not personal and threatening. People like that is why good people don't stick around certain communities for long. This piece of news is mind blowing only for the level of childish stupidity it has now apparently come to. Damn shame.
  • Brian Snapp Done
  • Cat DeSpira I want to point out one last thing: Regardless of if it has a return address or not, since Post Office's are Federal buildings, every transaction is recorded above by a security camera. So although you may not know for certain who sent the package, that information is available to the Postal Inspector as is the debit/credit card the subject used to mail it as well as his/her image.

So just call 911 or the Postal Inspector, and then file a complaint, please.

    Thank you

  • William McEvoy How many of these packages have there been?
  • Kelly R. Flewin I will keep my eyes open as well as God knows it will come up North as well
  • Cat DeSpira Address questions on particulars to my "in-box". Thanks.
  • Craig Anstett What's inside
    doesn't matter?
  • Ryan Sullivan Yep... trust me on this Craig. Best to let it go.
  • Eric Cummings Thank you for the warning Cat, I know I'm on the shit list so I'll be on the lookout. I've been dealing with this stuff since joining the TG forums. Walter Day made me promise when I met him to do certain things, the polar opposite of the person sending the packages. I've kept that promise and made a ton of friends who share our love of all things Gaming, including the act of playing them lol. Love ya Cat
  • Cat DeSpira Eric, you always have been an honorable man. No question ever in my mind. I once wrote, after realizing every TG Official before me shared many of the same things I did, that I felt after coming through my own that we were all "Brothers in Arms" as we...See More
  • Lance Maurice Eustache Only but a few know my address I need not worry about it really. But yeah, be safe, Cat.
  • Rebecca Rothschild Good looking out
