Trent Johnson Honestly, there wasn't much respect there in the first place. I was just getting to the point that I thought maybe they were worth while and not really trying claim their fame from everybody else's hard work, but not after something like this. True personality or not, it's the wrong one to have. Especially out in public where 100s if not 1000s of other people can see you doing so. And even more so, from someone that is supposed to be a respectable member of the gaming community.

In the past week I have had my FB account hacked so people can go through my messages and people flip-flopping opinions and messaging me to try and get dirt on me. Also, for the record I didn't "run like a little kid" when it came to Scooter. I merely ignored him and didn't give him the attention he wants. I know the smell of bullshit. I am from the mid-west. We have cows.

Trent Johnson I didn't watch. I didn't have anything to do with it what so ever. But I am a spectator of the gaming community. I am not a "gamer" in the sense that a lot of you are. I am one of those people that helps keep most of the gaming community going, just by spectating and supporting you guys. I am what you would call a "consumer". Insulting consumers in any way shape or form, is not a good thing to do and says a lot about ones personality.

Phil Timmons Jr. This "Midwest is Evil" diatribe was caused by one person's obvious backroom chat with the host before the show...whether on phone or otherwise. This person came to me with this theory that all mid-westerners perpetuate drama several days ago, so I am certain that's where the idea originated...If others could really see those perpetuating drama, hatred, and questionable activity I think they'd be surprised...
As has been stated above, just because some of us call out the obvious wrongs going on does not mean an entire region of gaming is an evil empire of hate.
Maybe the Midwest is a bit more candid when it comes to calling bullshit bullshit, but I like to think that is a good thing vs falling in line, shutting up and accepting things because everyone else thinks we should.
A great disservice to all gamers was done last night by the person who planted the seeds of hate in Richie's head. I support him and TGI and was very offended when I heard what was happening. I also felt like I couldn't have fun and include myself in the chatroom because of the group of true bullies there. At the end of the night when asked why all the hate existed there for the Midwest....Richie's response was "I dunno...I just keep hearing rumors that people there don't like me". That was very telling.
I can also say that if there was ever voiced dislike of Richie, I haven't heard it. I have spoken with many in the Midwest who were and still are excited to see changes at TGI...also people who are hopeful and full of desire to help others through gaming.
I also haven't seen these photos of people dressing in Game Over shirts with sport coats and jeans....yet another fallacy that was directed at all Midwest gamers...it's really appalling TBH

Ryan Atari Intellivision If they needed to avoid those questions, they could have just said that they couldn't answer those right now. All the questions about console tracking and cost were legit and probably what a lot of people wanted to know. I understand if they can't talk about it, but if you're having a q&a just say you can't, don't ignore the poor guy and leave him to fend for himself in that chat he was getting slaughtered in.
